# How does your site look to Google and AI?

Paste the address of a Shopify store, a WordPress site or any public page. In under a minute you get a score for speed, search and AI visibility, what each check found in plain language, and the three fixes we'd make first.

We don't keep the address you enter. The report sits in memory for 15 minutes, so a second look is instant, then it's gone. No email needed.

The audit runs on the page at https://nr10.com/labs/site-audit/ and needs JavaScript.

## Rules we'd use by hand.

Our server fetches your page the way a crawler does, then reads it against the same checklist we start every audit with. No AI writes the report, so the same site gets the same answer.

- **Search basics.** The title, meta description, main heading and canonical tag, whether the page can be indexed, robots.txt, the sitemap, HTTPS and image alt text.
- **AI visibility.** Whether robots.txt blocks GPTBot, ClaudeBot or PerplexityBot, whether the page has structured data AI tools can read, and whether there's an llms.txt.
- **Speed.** Google PageSpeed Insights runs a mobile test from Google's servers. We report its score and the three numbers behind it.
- **The three fixes.** Every check that fails or needs a look has a fixed priority. The top three, with a single slot for speed, become the fixes, worded for your platform.

It checks one page, signed out, from our server. It can't see your content quality, your links, your analytics or pages behind a login, and some firewalls turn automated visits away. A full audit covers those.

## The checks

- **HTTPS**
- **Open to search engines**
- **Page title**
- **Meta description**
- **Main heading**
- **Canonical tag**
- **robots.txt**
- **XML sitemap**
- **Image alt text**
- **AI crawlers**
- **Structured data**
- **llms.txt**
- **Mobile speed score**
- **Main content shows**
- **Layout shift**
- **Busy with scripts**

## The fixes it can pick

- **Let search engines in.** Remove the noindex tag (or X-Robots-Tag header) and any robots.txt rule blocking Googlebot, unless this page is meant to stay out of search.
- **Move everything to HTTPS.** Add a certificate (most hosts do it free), then send every http address to its https version with a 301 redirect.
- **Write a real page title.** Write a title of 50 to 60 characters that leads with what the page offers, then the brand.
- **Write the snippet yourself.** Add a meta description of one or two sentences that make someone want to click.
- **Give the page one clear headline.** Mark the main headline as the page's one h1, and demote logo or banner text that's also an h1.
- **Add canonical tags.** Add a link rel=canonical tag to every page, pointing to the clean address of that page.
- **Add a robots.txt.** Add a short robots.txt at the root of the site that lists your sitemap and blocks only what crawlers should skip, like cart and account pages.
- **Publish and list a sitemap.** Generate an XML sitemap, list it in robots.txt with a Sitemap: line, and submit it in Google Search Console.
- **Describe your images.** Add an alt attribute to every image: a few words saying what it shows, or empty for decoration.
- **Let the AI crawlers in.** Remove the robots.txt rules for {blocked}. If you'd rather stay out of AI training, you can still allow the search crawlers, like OAI-SearchBot, on their own.
- **Add structured data.** Add JSON-LD for Organization and WebSite, plus the types that match your pages: Product, Article or LocalBusiness.
- **Add an llms.txt.** A short markdown file at /llms.txt listing your key pages, one line each, served from the root of the site.
- **Speed up the mobile homepage.** Cut third-party scripts, size images for phones in a modern format, and cache pages at a CDN.
- **Get the main image on screen sooner.** Preload the hero image, serve it at phone size as WebP or AVIF, and don't lazy-load anything in the first screen.
- **Cut the scripts that block taps.** Defer what isn't needed for the first screen: chat widgets, sliders, extra tracking tags.
- **Stop the page from jumping.** Give images and embeds a width and height, and reserve space for banners and widgets that load late.
